We had the distinct honor of paying a courtesy visit to Her Excellency Ambassador Joana Veneranda Amaral at the Embassy of the Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste. The visit was a significant milestone in further strengthening the longstanding friendship.
During the meeting, Mr Eldrick Koh warmly extended greetings on behalf of GenYouth and expressed appreciation for the warm hospitality of the Embassy. The discussion centered around the ASEAN Festival, an eagerly anticipated event that showcases the diverse cultures and traditions of the ASEAN region.
Ambassador Amaral graciously welcomed the delegation and expressed keen interest in the ASEAN Festival. H.E. emphasized the importance of promoting cultural exchange and understanding among ASEAN nations and reiterated Timor-Leste’s commitment to strengthening regional ties.
Both sides engaged in fruitful discussions on ways to collaborate and contribute to the success of the ASEAN Festival. Ideas were exchanged to feature Timorese cultural performances, traditional arts, and culinary delights during the event. The prospect of organizing joint cultural activities to celebrate the rich heritage of both nations was also explored.
